The steel locks made by Geo. B. Bahr & Co. are much cruder than their brass locks, and the rivets are raised compared to the flush rivets on their brass locks. The markings on the steel locks are very hard to read because I think the markings are part of the casting and not something that was stamped later. This lock has a hole for a car seal.
